Lighting Design Services (UK Version)
As a company, BrightBox Ltd [‘The Company’] provides an independent source of advice and guidance, including identifying and collating fixtures and fittings from worldwide sources, covering a wide range of applications, brands and technologies. These are general terms for the partnership entered into when a client purchases product through our Brightbox product sites. Individual designers may well carry their own terms of work which would apply in alignment with the following.
Your order constitutes a contractual offer and our acceptance of that offer is deemed to occur upon our sending a dispatch email to you indicating that your order has been fulfilled and is on its way to you.
1. Parties
These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) are entered into between:
• Client (“User”): The individual or entity ordering from our site
• Lighting Company (“Company”): BrightBox Ltd, third party, independent
• Brand [specified brand name]: The firm providing the product at source
Collectively referred to as “the Parties.”
• Service customers: clients purchasing products, fixtures and fittings through our BrightBox lighting design service agreements.
Please note: These Terms and Conditions also apply to customers buying Goods as ‘Service Customers’
2. General
The Website provides lighting fixtures, components, accessories, and related products sourced from international manufacturers and distributors. These Terms apply to all users and buyers. We may update these Terms at any time.
3. Product Information
3. 1 Brightbox endeavours to consistently update and maintain product descriptions, specifications, technical data, images, and pricing, but states here that these are provided for guidance only and are subject to change. Individual manufacturers retain the right to adjust information at source and may not communicate directly with Brightbox.
3.2 Colours and finishes may vary due to screen settings or manufacturer updates.
4. Pricing
Prices are listed in British Pounds. Prices may exclude taxes, duties, or international shipping unless stated otherwise. Prices are dependent on the source manufacturer and are not set at BrightBox’s discretion, therefore we reserve the right to change prices without notice.
All pricing information on the Web Site is correct at the time of going online. All pricing information is reviewed and updated every seven days.
In the event that prices are changed during the period between an order being placed for Goods and Brightbox Lighting Ltd processing that order and taking payment, you will be contacted prior to your order being processed with details of the new price;
All prices on the Web Site do include VAT. Brightbox Lighting Ltd’s VAT number is 810748734
5. Stock
Brightbox endeavours to keep all items in our ‘Store’ shop in stock. However, availability may vary by supplier.
Stock indications are provided on the Web Site, however these may not take into account sales that have taken place during your visit to the website.
6. Orders
By placing an order, the Customer confirms legal eligibility and accuracy of submitted information. Our site endeavours to support customers as they make their selections and additional AI has been installed for further checking, but BrightBox cannot be held responsible for User error.
Orders may be refused or cancelled due to suspected fraud, discontinuation, pricing errors, or supply issues. Cancelled orders after payment will be refunded.
7. Accounts
In order to purchase Goods on this Web Site you can create an Account which will contain certain personal details and Payment Information. BrightBox will not retain these details, sell them to a third party or use them for marketing purposes without express permission from the client.
By continuing to use this Web Site you represent that:
1. all information you submit is accurate and lawful;
2. you have permission to submit Payment Information where permission may be required; and
3. you will keep this information accurate and up-to-date.
Your creation of an Account is further affirmation of your representation and warranty.
It is recommended that you do not share your Account details, particularly your username and password. Brightbox Lighting Ltd accepts no liability for any losses or damages incurred as a result of your Account details being shared by you. If you use a shared computer, it is recommended that you do not save your Account details in your internet browser.
If you have reason to believe that your Account details have been obtained by another party without consent, you should contact Brightbox Lighting Ltd immediately to suspend your Account and cancel any unauthorised purchases that may be pending. Please be aware that purchases can only be cancelled prior to dispatch. In the event that an unauthorised purchase is dispatched prior to your notifying us of the unauthorised nature of the purchase, Brightbox Lighting Ltd accepts no liability or responsibility and you should make contact with the Brand detailed in the Purchase Information and/or your bank.
Any failure to comply with the above could result in the suspension and/or deletion of your Account.
Termination and Cancellation of Accounts
Either Brightbox Lighting Ltd or you may terminate your Account. If Brightbox Lighting Ltd terminates your Account, you will be notified by email and an explanation for the termination will be provided. Notwithstanding the foregoing. BrightBox reserves the right to terminate accounts in alignment with the governing law.
If Brightbox Lighting Ltd terminates your Account, any current or pending purchases on your Account will be cancelled and will not be dispatched.
If purchases are cancelled for any reason prior to dispatch you will be refunded any monies paid in relation to those purchases.
If you terminate your Account any non-dispatched purchases will be cancelled. BrightBox will issue refunds on ordered products at their discretion.
8. Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods include those listed at checkout. Full payment is required at purchase unless specified otherwise. Bank transfers must clear before processing. Chargebacks may not be initiated without contacting support.
9. Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide through trusted carriers. Delivery times vary and are not guaranteed but where possible Brightbox endeavours to achieve a fast (or even next-day) service.
Customers are responsible for customs fees, duties, and accurate delivery details. Risk transfers to the Customer once the order is handed to the carrier.
Brightbox Lighting Ltd will notify you by way of email when your goods are to be dispatched to you. The message will contain details of estimated delivery times in addition to any reasons for a delay in the delivery of the Goods purchased by you.
If Brightbox Lighting Ltd receives no communication from you, within 14 days of delivery, regarding any problems with the Goods, you are deemed to have received the Goods in full working order and with no problems.
Brightbox recommends the safe and dry storage of delivered products within reasonable temperature tolerances. No responsibility can be taken for items, damaged or stolen once receipt of goods as been signed for.
International Customers
If Goods are being ordered from outside Brightbox Lighting Ltd’s country of residence, import duties and taxes may be incurred once your Goods reach their destination. Brightbox Lighting Ltd is not responsible for these charges and we undertake to make no calculations or estimates in this regard. If you are buying internationally, you are advised to contact your local customs authorities for further details on costs and procedures. As the purchaser of the Goods, you will also be the importer of record and as such should ensure that your purchase is in full compliance with the laws of the country into which the Goods are being imported. Please be aware that Goods may be inspected on arrival at port for customs purposes and Brightbox Lighting Ltd cannot guarantee that the packaging of your Goods will be free of signs of tampering.
10. Lead Times & Backorders
For the most-part Brightbox endeavours to hold items from the stock-shop in our warehouse. Though at any one time stock levels will vary. On our ‘posh-shop’ accessed by portal customers, many products have manufacturer lead times. Lead times are estimates and may be affected by supply chain conditions. Backordered items will ship once available.
11. Intellectual Property
All website content including images, descriptions, and branding remains our intellectual property or that of the manufacturers.
Subject to the exceptions in Clause 6 of these Terms and Conditions, all Content included on the Web Site, unless uploaded by Users, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, sound clips, video clips, data compilations, page layout, underlying code and software is the property of Brightbox Lighting Ltd, our affiliates or other relevant third parties. By using the Web Site you acknowledge that such material is protected by applicable United Kingdom and International intellectual property and other laws.
You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, store or in any other fashion re-use material from the Web Site unless otherwise indicated on the Web Site or unless given express written permission to do so by Brightbox Lighting Ltd.
Third Party Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise expressly indicated, all Intellectual Property rights including, but not limited to, Copyright and Trademarks, in product images and descriptions belong to the manufacturers or distributors of such products as may be applicable.

These terms and conditions and the relationship between you and Brightbox Lighting Ltd shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of England and Wales and Brightbox Lighting Ltd and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales
